I'm Kiria (Kiri-YAY) and I am the person behind the camera at Cake Smash Photography.
The first thing that comes to mind when I think about describing myself is that I am a Mum. I am the mother of two beautiful daughters who are the driving force behind everything I do, especially when it comes to photography. I, like many of you, desperately wanted a way to preserve the memories of my children as they changed right before my eyes. I was not satisfied with grainy Instagram pictures or blurry iPhone shots (though I continue to bog my phone down with hundreds of them too). I dove headfirst into this adventure and never looked back. 

 

I am mostly self taught, spending countless hours taking workshops, watching online videos, studying, learning, and practicing on my own children (when they let me!). I specialise in Studio Cake Smash Photography and have been running this small business of mine since 2014.

A few years ago I decided to venture into the world of Outdoor Family Photography, and am now excited to also offer these sessions to my wonderful clients. I am all about capturing a special moment in time that you will cherish for years to come.
